- Special Events at the Manitoulin Farmers' Markets July 20 - 27th
July 20 in Little Current (2 - 6 pm at the Recreation Centre): Bring Your Fossils to Find Out What Creatures Made Them, with Bill Caesar, author of Manitoulin Fossils.
July 23 in Gore Bay (9 am - 1 pm New location at the Waterfront): Buy Your Tickets on the Circles of Love Quilt made by the Gore Bay Happy Quilters, proceeds for X-ray equipment for the Mindemoya Hospital.
July 24 in Mindemoya (9 am - 1 pm at the Arena/Pavilion): Tips on Dog Training by Mary Anderson of Bow Wow Kennels, Manitoulin Family Resources has a sale of summer reading and birdhouses, and Meet the ladies of the Big Lake Women's Institute showing their charitable projects for Third World countries.
July 27 in Little Current (2 - 6 pm at the Recreation Centre): Pickle Ball - Never heard of it? Find out how to play.
July 30 in Gore Bay (9 am - 1 pm): Come and enjoy our Waterfront location.
July 31 in Mindemoya (9 am - 1 pm): Manitoulin Family Resources has summer reading and birdhouses for sale. Special feature starting 10 am: Learn cro-hooking - Minetta Dahlvick will show you how. Cro-hook, pattern and starter ball of yarn plus instruction $15. If you have your own cro-hook, $8.
AUGUST
- Special Events at the Manitoulin Farmers' Markets
August 3 in Little Current: Try playing the harp! 20 minute beginners' workshop sessions with Jane Best and 4 harps at 2:30, 3:00, and 3:30. All ages welcome.
August 6 in Gore Bay: The Community Food Network has a booth with information on locally grown produce and the dirt on dirt.
August 7 in Mindemoya: Community Food Network booth. 10 am: For Kids 6 and up - Paint posters free to decorate the Arena! With Jenna Williamson. 11 am: The scoop on Scuba Diving by Sue Garlock. 12 noon: Euchre -- Don't know how to play? These ladies are great coaches!
